Northwoods and SolutionsWest Partner to Help Social Services Implement Technology

SACRAMENTO, Calif.—Oct. 1 2019—Northwoods and SolutionsWest launched a partnership to help California social services agencies successfully implement new technology. Northwoods will provide a software solution to help child welfare and adult & aging caseworkers do more high-value work. SolutionsWest will provide professional services to roll out the software to ensure user adoption.

Northwoods has focused solely on social services for 15 years. Leveraging this expertise, Northwoods used human-centered design to create Traverse® to help caseworkers collect, view, and share case content from anywhere at any time. Using artificial intelligence, Traverse extracts critical information about the major topics, related events and people connected to the case to empower caseworkers to make informed, confident decisions about safety.

SolutionsWest continues building on its experience with large scale government projects and its successful track record with major training for state and local government by creating and managing the critical people aspects of any technology implementation: project management, organizational change management, and training.

Agencies can expect high-tech, best of breed software designed to help caseworkers engage with the adults, families, and children they serve, and a seamless transition to an effective, large-scale enterprise solution.

The partnership is rooted in Northwoods’ and SolutionsWest’s shared passion to help social services agencies deliver high-quality service to their clients. Each company brings its mission-driven culture to help caseworkers save lives and strengthen families.

"Northwoods has long admired SolutionsWest’s work in social services with the state and is thrilled to enter into a partnership in California. We always seek partnerships that add value, but the SolutionsWest mission is also aligned with ours. We are excited to bring the powerful combination to market together,” said Chris McConnell, chief business development officer, Northwoods.

"For the past 20 years, SolutionsWest has been part of project implementations for most of the major California social services agencies. We’re excited to blend our experience with Northwoods’ dedication and leadership to provide innovative tools to support organizations that are so critically important in protecting and nurturing children and families of California,” said Renee Carter, president and CEO, SolutionsWest.
